The court sent former minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu to jail for 14 days

Congress leader and former cabinet minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu of Punjab's Ludhiana has been sent to jail in 14 days judicial custody by the Jalandhar court. He was arrested by the ED on August 1 in connection with the transport scam in the Food and Supplies Department.
He was being interrogated continuously for the last 10 days. According to sources, ED has summoned around 5 people who are very close to Ashu. Some of them are also people whose involvement in the transport tender scam was found by the vigilance.
