Punjab BJP today discussed preparations for Lok Sabha elections and farmers' movement. State BJP president Sunil Jakhar called a meeting of senior leaders in Chandigarh, in which former president Ashwini Sharma joined the meeting with Jakhar for the first time, Manpreet Badal was also present in the meeting.

However, 8 to 9 senior leaders including Captain Amarinder Singh, Fateh Singh Bajwa and Tarun Chugh were not present in this meeting.

Sunil Jakhar has been entrusted with both the post of Chairman and Convener of Election Management Committee in Punjab by BJP.
