Pickup Truck Collides Head-On with Transit Bus in Delta

A pickup truck and a transit bus were involved in a head-on collision in Delta on Sunday night near 120th Street and 92A Avenue.

According to reports, a northbound Ford pickup first struck a construction warning sign before losing control and entering the southbound lane. The truck then collided head-on with an oncoming transit bus after narrowly avoiding several other vehicles.

BC Emergency Health Services said the incident occurred at around 9 p.m. Paramedics provided medical assistance to one person before transporting them to hospital in stable condition.

The Delta Police Department said Metro Vancouver Transit Police have taken over the investigation.
