NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh has warned that if the Liberals fail to introduce a bill for the pharmacare plan by March 1, they will break their agreement to keep the government in power.
Speaking to reporters on Parliament Hill about the party's pharmacare plan, he repeated the warning to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's government. Jagmeet Singh said that in today's date Pharmacare is a tool to fight inflation.
The NDP leader said that if Prime Minister Justin Trudeau does not implement the universal pharmacare plan within the stipulated time frame and breaks his promise, there will be consequences.
Jagmeet Singh said the government's own commission report says a single-payer universal program is a better way to save costs for families and governments.
It is worth noting that the NDP is constantly warning Trudeau's minority government on Pharmacare. Singh says that the government has already been given a chance many times, now it cannot go any further.
