In the much-discussed Dilroj murder case of Ludhiana, Punjab, the court has sentenced the accused woman to death. On 28 November 2021, a woman named Neelam from Shimlapuri area buried two-and-a-half-year-old Dilroj alive in her neighborhood in Salem Tabri area.

Dilrose's family lawyer Paropkar Singh cried along with Dilrose's parents as they came out of the court. Paropkar Singh said that today's court decision is historic. This has also sent a message to the society that the court does not spare those who commit such heinous acts.
