BC's police watchdog says it's investigating a police-involved death in Vancouver.

The Independent Investigations Office says police received a report of a man acting erratically this morning.

Vancouver police say the man went into medical distress after he was taken into custody following an ``interaction'' with officers and died at the scene.

The IIO says it has begun an investigation to determine what role, if any, police actions or inactions played in the man's death.
