The Punjab-Haryana High Court has sought a response from the Punjab government and the Center in the case of extension of NSA on Waris Punjab organization chief Amritpal Singh.

The court has fixed the date of August 28 for the next hearing of the case. Meanwhile, the challenge to Amritpal's parliamentary membership by Vikarjit Singh, who was an independent candidate from Khadur Sahib, will be heard in the Punjab-Haryana High Court on August 5.

The petitioner says that Amritpal Singh had hidden many information in his nomination paper.

Metro Vancouver is set to ease its water restrictions from Stage 2 to Stage 1 starting Sept. 1, allowing residents and businesses to water their lawns once a week.
