The Aam Aadmi Party has suffered a major setback in the Haryana Assembly elections. Arvind Kejriwal's third attempt also failed. The party did not open any accounts here and most of its candidates' bails were forfeited.

AAP's senior state vice-president Anurag Dhanda was in the election fray from Kalait, who finished seventh. At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party candidates got less votes than NOTA in many seats including Ambala Cantt.
In Pihowa seat, which Kejriwal described as Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's in-law village area, AAP candidate Gahil Singh Sandhu got only 890 votes out of a total of 1.28 lakh votes. However, in some important seats like Karnal, Panchkula, Rewari and Rohtak, AAP candidates came third.
