Senior Punjab BJP leader and former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has returned to active politics after several months. He recently met Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi.

According to reports, the two discussed several issues, including the farmers' agitation and the election of a new Punjab BJP president. Sunil Jakhar had resigned from the party leadership following the Lok Sabha elections and distanced himself from party activities.

Additionally, on October 25, Captain Amarinder Singh made a surprise visit to the grain market in Khanna, where farmers were facing difficulties in selling their paddy.
