BJP has announced 6 candidates in Punjab. Taranjit Singh Sandhu has been nominated from Amritsar, who was the ambassador of India to the US and is the grandson of Teja Singh Samani, a founding member of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and a prominent freedom fighter who played an important role in the Gurdwara reform movement.
At the same time, ticket has been given to Ravneet Bittu from Ludhiana and Hans Raj Hans from Faridkot, BJP has fielded Parneet Kaur from Patiala.
Ticket has been given to Dinesh Singh Babbu from Gurdaspur. Sushil Kumar Rinku will be BJP's candidate from Jalandhar.
