Aman Arora, a Hindu face, made Punjab AAP president, replaces Bhagwant Mann

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab Friday named Cabinet Minister Aman Arora as the state unit president replacing Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, and appointed Batala MLA Amansher Singh Shery Kalsi as the working president.
The announcement of Arora's elevation as the state party chief was made by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann himself. Arora is a prominent Hindu face of the party in Punjab. Mann had recently expressed his desire to step down as the party president, citing his preoccupation with his duties as the Chief Minister of Punjab. He had been holding the position since January 2019.
