Shiromani Akali Dal MLA Manpreet Singh Ayyali has decided to stay away from party activities until the Iqbal Singh Jhundan Committee report is implemented, pointing fingers at the leadership of the party.

Ayali wrote on his Facebook page, 'Shiromani Akali Dal is the leading organization of Panth and Punjab, which has a very glorious history, but due to the decisions taken by the party leaders for some time now, there has been a major decline in the party's principles. The party also failed to recognize the peasantry in the past and the sectarian thinking going on in Punjab at the present time.

Ayali said that today the party needs to take big decisions to gain the trust of farmers, Panth and Punjabis so that the party can be strengthened at the ground level.
