A 35-year-old man is in custody following a second alleged residential break and enter in Abbotsford, months after being charged in a similar incident, according to a police news release.
The Abbotsford Police Department said patrol officers first responded in November 2025 to a reported break and enter in progress in the 32500 block of Peardonville Road. Police allege Jaskaran Singh was identified, arrested and charged in that case.
According to police, Singh was released from custody in March 2026 under several court-ordered conditions, including 24-hour house arrest, and relocated to another community in the Lower Mainland.
On April 7, patrol officers responded to another reported residential break and enter in the 32600 block of Bevan Avenue. Police allege Singh was quickly identified as the suspect. The department’s Crime Reduction Unit took over the investigation and later located Singh in Abbotsford in violation of his release conditions.
Police say Singh was arrested on April 16. Charges approved in connection with the April 7 incident and the arrest include break and enter, possession of break-in instruments, and five counts of breaching a release order. He remains in custody.
