Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar says that the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress were at loggerheads from the first day of the elections in the state, by which they labeled the BJP as anti-farmer.
He said that although the BJP failed to convince the farmers in Punjab that it is the support of the farmers, it played an important role in increasing the income of the farmers and giving Rs 6,000 annually.
Jakhar said that he takes responsibility for BJP's defeat in Punjab. He also said that during the Lok Sabha elections, although no BJP candidate could win in Punjab, the party's votes have increased from 6 percent to 19 percent.
