India's investigative agency Enforcement Directorate has issued summons to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for the fifth time in the ongoing investigation in the Delhi liquor scam case. The investigating agency has summoned the Delhi Chief Minister for questioning on February 2. Farmer organizations of Punjab have announced to lay siege to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's Sangrur residence on February 3 in favor of Bhana Sidhu. A meeting was held between the police and Bhana Sidhu's supporters in Barnala, which went inconclusive. Bhana Sidhu's supporters are demanding his unconditional release from all cases. The Sangrur court has given relief to Punjab government minister Aman Arora and stayed the punishment awarded to him by the lower court for 2 years. In the mayoral elections of Chandigarh, the India Alliance has faced its first defeat. In this election, BJP's Manoj Sonkar has become the new mayor of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation after defeating Aam Aadmi Party and Congress candidate Kuldeep Kumar.
