Senior leader of Shiromani Akali Dal from Jalandhar in Punjab and former MLA from Adampur seat in Jalandhar Pawan Kumar Tinu has joined Aam Aadmi Party. It is also coming to light that the Aam Aadmi Party may make Tinu a candidate for the Lok Sabha elections from the Jalandhar seat. The party has announced that the candidates for Jalandhar and Ludhiana will be announced on 16th. Tinu has been MLA twice from Adampur constituency in 2012 and 2017.
