The videos, shot at iconic locations across the region, showcase the serene beauty of the place and the warmth of its people.
In the clips, Diljit Dosanjh is seen visiting the shrine of saint Mir Syed Ali Hamdani, where he mingles with devotees and offers prayers. He also captures moments of tranquility on Dal Lake, surrounded by a frosty landscape, while sipping kehwa, a traditional saffron-based drink. The videos are accompanied by soulful tunes played on the rabab, a local musical instrument, adding to the charm of the footage.
The artist titled the video series ‘Heaven on Earth’ and ‘Sukoon’, reflecting the calm and beauty of Kashmir. In the videos, Dosanjh is seen wearing the traditional pheran, a long woolen robe worn during the harsh winter months to shield against the cold, while also covering the kangri, a pot of coals used to keep warm.
