On Connect Cine this time, we sat down to for a tete-a-tete with Punjabi singer Khaan Saab who spoke candidly about his spirituality, religion, his undying love for Late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and his unhinged fun time with Punjabi singer Garry Sandhu.
Khaan Saab has garnered fans across the globe because of his mellifluous voice, “People of Pakistan have shown me considerable acceptance," shares the singer who is deeply influenced by the legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, always affectionally referring him as his guru. In fact videos capturing poignant moments of Khaan Saab shedding tears while performing Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s soulful ghazals have gone viral.

Adds Khaan Saab, “Many find it challenging to absorb too much of gyan, and I am not interested in giving lessons in morality.
I want them to see me as a normal person who can be serious and funny at the same time.” And he talks about his fun moments with Punjabi singer Garry Sandhu who is credited with giving him the moniker Khaan Saab.
During the interview, Khaan Saab also expressed his unwavering belief in Allah. He shared his perspective on the importance of serving humanity, describing it as the noblest task one can undertake. “Do I have any desire or hasrat in life, well, I wish to give Azan at the Sharifate of Mecca,” he adds softly.
