Normally, realistically, I’m never short of words. Never. But Hungama 2 is one such movie that has left a profound effect on me. Let's put it straight, I am numb.

I went with such high hopes that the free fall is now hurting every bit of me. And why not, the film is directed by none other than Priyadarshan! It boasts of a battery of talented actors starting Paresh Rawal, Ashutosh Rana, Meezan Jaffery, Pranitha, Shilpa Shetty, Rajpal Yadav, Tiku Talsania, Manoj Joshi, and yet such a fiasco.

Touted as a comedy, the film makes a desperate and failed attempt to put a smile on your face. Let me tell you the film does have a plot, I was told so. But, I just couldn’t find it.

Hungama 2 is more like a one-act theatrical performance, where every actor comes, says his or her dialogues and exits. All the dialogues will put the word ‘cliche’ to shame.

If you were of the opinion that Shilpa Shetty making a comeback with Hungama 2 brought in any respite, I have a question for Shilpa, weren’t you better off doing tik Tok videos, which did make us laugh, in real!

As for Paresh Rawal and Ashutosh Rana being a part of this fiasco, well, desperate times (Covid times) call for desperate measures!
