A recent live concert of Punjabi singer-turned-actor Diljit Dosanjh at a private university ran into rough weather after the Phagwara police registered a case against the host music company and a helicopter pilot for flouting the norms.
The show was part of Dosanjh’s ‘Born to Shine’ world tour being organised by a music company.
The FIR has been lodged under Sections 336 (endangering life) and 188 (disobedience) of the IPC at Satnampura police station.
As per the FIR, Dosanjh’s helicopter failed to land at the designated helipad on the university campus, where security arrangements had been made.
Also, the music company had been given permission by the district officials to organise the event from 8 pm to 10 pm, but it went on till 11 pm, which went against the norms. The orders of the SDM were not followed, the FIR reads.
