Renowned fashion designer-turned-director Manish Malhotra has officially parted ways with the much-awaited Meena Kumari biographical film, which was initially set to star Kriti Sanon in the lead role. This unexpected move has taken both fans and the film industry by surprise, especially given the growing excitement surrounding the project.

When questioned about the future of the Meena Kumari biopic, Malhotra confirmed his withdrawal from the project. “I’m no longer part of the biopic. I’ll be directing something else soon. Directing remains an unfulfilled dream of mine,” he shared.
