Punjabi actress Simranpreet Kaur dies
Punjabi actress Simranpreet Kaur passed away on 18 March 2021 leaving her friends and family in grief. Fondly known as Simran among her friends, she was well-known in Punjabi theatre as well.
The reason for her death is said to be health complications due to diabetes and kidney failure. Her last rites were performed in Patiala.
Besides doing television series and theatre, Simranpreet Kaur has also been part of Punjabi movies like Singh Vs Kaur.

How cool is Daddy!
Punjabi film Daddy Cool Munde Fool 2 is one of the highly awaited movies. The film was supposed to hit the big screens in 2020, but owing to the pandemic, it got postponed. However, now the makers have released the date of the film, which will be hitting the theatres on August 27, 2021.
The film stars Jassie Gill, Ranjit Bawa, Jaswinder Bhalla, Tania, and Aarushi Sharma in the lead. The film is a sequel to 2013 released ‘Daddy Cool Munde Fool’. The prequel had Amrinder Gill and Harish Verma in the lead and now it’s Jassie Gill and Ranjit Bawa playing the main characters.

Qismat to try Qismat in 2021
Punjabi singer-actor Ammy Virk starrer Qismat 2 is all set to hit theatres on Sep
Qismat 2 stars Ammy Virk, Sargun Mehta and Tania in the lead roles.
Sharing the poster, Ammy Virk wrote - "Jinna soch na sake tu, ohna pyar karde aan" #Qismat2 releasing in cinemas on 24th Sept 2021”. Sargun too share the release date of the film with a caption- “Assi fer milange , kisse hor chatt te SHIVA TE BAANI ”.

Jassie Gill is back with a peppy track
Punjabi singer and actor Jassie Gill is back with another peppy dance track Oye Hoye Hoye. This time he is joined by Dhanashree Verma, Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal’s wife, who is a popular dance influencer.
Oye Hoye Hoye is penned by Happy Raikoti and composed by Avvysra. The song is directed by Arvindr Khaira, and the music video is already created quite a buzz.

Shehnaaz cradles his baby bump
Punjabi actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh and Shehnaaz Gill shared the poster for their upcoming Punjabi film Honsla Rakh.
Shehnaaz Gill shared a picture with Diljit, which broke the internet. The picture shows Shehnaaz dressed in a floral short dress and flaunting her baby bump while Diljit slays in a white suit.
Shehnaaz Gill wrote, "Excited???". The poster also revealed the release date of the film, which slotted for a October 15, 2021 release.
Diljit Dosanjh has turned into a producer with this film. The film also features Gippy Grewal's son Shinda Grewal in a lead role.

Paani Ch Madhaani gets a new release date
Gippy Grewal and Neeru Bajwa starrer Punjabi film Paani Ch Madhaani was initially slated for a February 12 release, however, now the makers have decided to release the film on May 21 2021.
The entire cast and crew of the movie took to their social media handle to announce the new release date.
The film is directed by Vijay Kumar and written by Naresh Kathooria. The movie features Gippy Grewal and Neeru Bajwa together on the silver screen almost after a decade.

Sidhu Moosewala’s act III, one more Punjabi film
In addition to Yes I am Student and soon-to-be rolled out Punjabi film Gunah, singer Sidhu Moosewala is all set to act in his third Punjabi film to be directed by Tarnvir Singh Jagpal. Tarnvir is the director of Sidhu’s other two films too.
A source said that this is going to be Sidhu’s solo film wherein he plays the main protagonist. The storyline of the film is almost final but the crew is yet to decide on the female lead and the other starcast. “Also, this project is going to be pretty different from the other two films,” added the source.

The team is sharing some interesting posts everyday. In a recent, hilarious post, Gippy Grewal shows us Shehnaaz Gill’s 'new diet' plan. Taking to the microblogging website, Gippy shared a 24-second clip of Shehnaaz and his sons, having ‘aloo ke parathe’ at his home.

Je Jatt Vigad Geya goes on the floor
In June 2019, Punjabi film director, actor Amberdeep Singh took to his social media handle to announce a movie titled Je Jatt Vigad Geya, and now we hear that the shoot of the same has gone on the floors.
Written and directed by Amberdeep Singh, the movie stars B Jayy Randhawa, Nimrat Khaira, Aditi Sharma, karamjit Anmol and Gurpreet Bhangu in pivotal roles.
The release date of the same is yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, Amberdeep Singh’s Punjabi film, Jodi starring Diljit Dosanjh and Nimrat Khaira in the lead will hit the theatres on June 24, 2021.
