Film industry congratulates Neeraj Chopra on winning gold at Tokyo Olympics
Members of the film industry, on Saturday, congratulated javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra on winning a gold medal at Tokyo Olympics.
"It's a Gold. Heartiest congratulations Neeraj Chopra on creating history. You are responsible for a billion tears of joy. Well done," actor Akshay Kumar wrote on Instagram Story.
Lauding Neeraj, actor Anushka Sharma took to her Instagram Story and posted a picture of the sportsperson, saying he " makes the entire country so proud".

Yo Yo Honey Singh breaks silence on domestic violence allegations
Popular singer, rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh broke the silence and has issued an official statement over the alleged false and malicious allegations levied against the singer and his family.
Taking to Instagram, the singer-rapper in the statement wrote, "I am deeply pained and distressed by the false and malicious allegations levied against me and my family by my companion/wife of 20 years, Mrs. Shalini Talwar. The allegations are severely odious."

Met Gala will require attendees to be vaccinated, masked indoors
The Met Gala is back! The starry affair will return this fall, but with two important caveats: Everyone attending the event needs to be jabbed and must wear a mask indoors.
As per People magazine, the upcoming Metropolitan Museum of Art and Vogue's annual Met Gala is enforcing a COVID-19 vaccination mandate and mask requirement.
The theme for the star-studded event this year -- after a cancelled 2020 Met Gala and a postponed May date-- is 'In America: A Lexicon of Fashion'.

Lara Dutta unrecognisable as Indira Gandhi in 'Bell Bottom' trailer
At the trailer launch of much-talked about Bollywood film 'Bell Bottom, the media persons who were invited to cover the event were at a loss trying to figure out the character played by Lara Dutta in the 1980s set spy thriller, headlined by Bollywood Akshay Kumar.
The film's trailer, which opens with a disclaimer, begins with an Indian airplane being hijacked with all of its passengers being taken hostage in 1984.
In the next scene, the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi is seen consulting with her advisors for a possible way to tackle the crisis.

Akshay Kumar's 'Bell Bottom' to release in 3D as well
Apart from the 2D format, actor Akshay Kumar's 'Bell Bottom' will also be released in 3D in theatres on August 19.
Akshay announced the latest development on Monday on his social media handles.

Delhi court notice to singer Honey Singh after wife files domestic violence case
Tis Hazari Court in Delhi has issued notice to singer Yo Yo Honey Singh on a case filed by his wife Shalini Talwar under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act.
Tis Hazari Court's Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tania Singh issued notice to Honey Singh and listed the matter for further hearing on August 28.
