In the case of Indian-origin nurse Nimisha Priya, who is facing the death penalty in Yemen, sources in the Indian Ministry of External Affairs have informed that the local administration of Yemen has postponed her execution scheduled for July 16, 2025 for the time being.
After the execution, Nimisha's family had appealed to the Indian government to intervene in the matter. After this, the government had assured the family of all possible help.

Trump threatens Russia with tariffs if war on Ukraine isn't resolved within 50 days
President Donald Trump said Monday he would punish Russia with tariffs if there isn't a deal to end the war in Ukraine within 50 days.
The Republican president made the announcement during an Oval Office meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
“We’re going to be doing very severe tariffs if we don’t have a deal in 50 days," Trump said. He did not provide specifics on how the tariffs would be implemented.
“I use trade for a lot of things," he added. "But it's great for settling wars.”

The CEO of TikTok is asking Industry Minister Mélanie Joly for an urgent meeting about the federal government’s order directing the company to shut down its Canadian operations.

US to impose 50% tariff on copper from August 1
US will impose a 50% tariff on copper from August 1. President Donald Trump called it a matter of national security, he said in a post on Truth Social that copper is used in everything from semiconductors to aircraft ships, ammunition, lithium-ion batteries, radar and missile systems to hypersonic weapons, many of which we are making.

Russia fired a record 728 Shahed and decoy drones at Ukraine overnight, as well as 13 missiles, Ukraine’s air force said Wednesday.
Ukraine’s air defenses shot down 296 drones and seven missiles, while 415 more drones were lost from radars or jammed, a statement said.

Indian nurse Nimisha Priya is likely to be hanged in Yemen on July 16. 37-year-old Nimisha is originally from Kerala. She was convicted of the murder of Yemeni citizen Talal Abdo Mehdi.

USA: Four members of a Hyderabad family die in road accident
Four members of an Indian family died in a road accident in Texas, USA on Monday. The deceased have been identified as Tejaswini, Sri Venkat and their two children. The family belonged to Hyderabad.
According to information, a mini-truck hit their vehicle, after which the car caught fire. The accident took place in Greene County. The family had gone to Dallas for a vacation. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants Tuesday for the Taliban’s supreme leader and the head of Afghanistan’s supreme court on charges of persecuting women and girls since seizing power nearly four years ago.

5 Israeli soldiers killed overnight in northern Gaza, military says
Five Israeli soldiers were killed overnight in northern Gaza, the Israeli military said Tuesday.
The military said two other soldiers were seriously wounded.
Israeli media said the infantry soldiers were on patrol when explosive devices were detonated against them. Media said militants also opened fire on the reinforcements sent to evacuate the dead and wounded.
The deaths came roughly two weeks after Israel reported once of its deadliest days in months in Gaza, when seven soldiers were killed when a Palestinian attacker attached a bomb to their armored vehicle.
