A man of Indian origin in the US, Darshan R. Soni, has been arrested for plotting to kill his wife. He has been charged with attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder. This is a case from Hamilton County, Indiana. According to the report, 44-year-old Soni involved one of his employees, Ken Cox, in the conspiracy and allegedly according to this plan, the wife was first poisoned and when this conspiracy failed, a house burglary was planned on May 16, 2025, during which the murder was to be committed. The case came to light when an informant tipped off the police about the conspiracy.

Police in Abbotsford, B.C. are investigating after a young man was killed in a stabbing at the city's Larch Park on Sunday night. Officers were called just after 7:30 p.m. for a report of a stabbing at Larch Park, located in the 2600 block of Beck Road. They found a male youth suffering from critical, life-threatening injuries, but despite quick efforts by bystanders and first responders, the victim died of his wounds. Police in Edmonton say a motorcycle rider died while trying to pass a car on the city's western outskirts on Saturday evening. Police say the Harley-Davidson was travelling north on Winterburn Road, but while attempting to pass an Acura, the car slowed and made a left-hand turn. The motorcycle collided with the driver's side of the car, sending the 26-year-old and his bike into the northwest ditch. Police say speed is believed to have been a factor in the collision.

The driver of a B-M-W has died after police in Edmonton say the vehicle lost control and smashed into a tree. Police say it happened around 3:15 a-m yesterday on 142 Street near 90 Avenue. The driver was the only person in the vehicle and was declared dead at the scene. Police say speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.

King Charles and Queen Camilla will touch down in Ottawa today to kick off an historic royal tour. The trip marks the royals' first visit to Canada since the King's coronation two years ago. When they land this afternoon, the royals will travel to Lansdowne Park, a large events venue in the heart of the nation's capital, to meet with community members. The King and Queen will then head to Rideau Hall to meet with Prime Minister Mark Carney and Governor General Mary Simon, who acts as the representative of the Crown in Canada.
