Independent candidate Sarabjit Singh Khalsa from Faridkot won by a big margin
Counting in Faridkot Lok Sabha seat continues from 8 am. Independent candidate Sarabjit Singh Khalsa has won from this seat.
He has captured the seat by winning 292186 votes. On the other hand, AAP's Karamjit Anmol got 223351 votes, Akali Dal's Rajwinder Singh 135328, Congress's Amarjit Kaur Sahoke 157754 and BJP's Hansraj Hans got 122360 votes.
After winning, Sarabjit Singh Khalsa said that the public has won me. I will talk about making a strict punishment law for desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and punishing those accused of desecration.

BJP Ajay Mishra Teni Loses UP's Kheri Seat
In a closely contested election, Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni has lost his bid for a third term in the Lok Sabha from the Kheri parliamentary seat.
Samajwadi Party (SP) candidate Utkarsh Verma Madhur emerged victorious, marking a significant political shift in the region. Ajay Mishra, who secured the Kheri seat in 2014 and 2019, lost by a margin of about 33,198 votes.
The Congress, historically strong in Kheri with nine previous wins, did not field a candidate this time due to its alliance with the SP.

He was followed by BJP’s Rinku who polled 2,14,060 votes.
