TikTok beauty influencer shot dead during live stream

A Mexican social media influencer was shot dead while she was livestreaming on TikTok. The victim, Valeria Marquez, was 23 years old. The incident happened on April 13, 2025.

In a statement released Tuesday evening, the Jalisco state prosecutor said the case appeared to be a case of femicide. A femicide incident is described as an incident where a woman or girl is targeted because of her gender.

According to information, the girl was shot during a livestream. The victim used to make and post beauty and makeup related videos on social media and her content had become quite popular. The victim was shot in a salon.

The identity of the attacker in the case has not been shared at this time.
