Police say an Alberta man who was rushed to hospital Saturday after a crane collapse in Saskatoon has died. Officers had been dispatched to a construction site on Webster Street in the city's northeast for an industrial accident. On July 5, 2025, at 3:46 p.m., the Richmond RCMP received a report of a pedestrian-involved collision on No. 3 Road at Granville Avenue. On June 11, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., the rider is alleged to have performed a number of dangerous stunts on a roadway lined with parks, restaurants and crosswalks. The rider is alleged to have driven at speeds over 130 km/h while performing a wheelie in the 50 km/h zone. The vehicle is then reported to have sped up to a top speed of 193 km/h in the 60 zone, more than three times the speed limit on the busy downtown streets. A Mohali court in Punjab has sent Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia to New Nabha Jail till further hearing on July 19 after the Vigilance remand ends. The Vigilance had arrested Majithia from his Amritsar residence on June 25 in a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and had kept him on 11-day remand.
