B.C. shortens the time between COVID vaccines doses from 49 to 28 days

COVID-19 outbreaks in pockets around British Columbia have prompted health officials to shorten the recommended delay between vaccinations by three weeks. Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says the change from 49 days to 28 will help bring up the level of community protection in areas of the province that are experiencing outbreaks. The BC Conservation Officer Service says its predator attack team is responding after a black bear seriously injured a man in the province's north yesterday. On August 24, 2025, police were alerted by a homeowner in the 900 block of Tollcross Road who reported hearing a loud bang and subsequently discovering bullet holes. The Langley RCMP is advising the public of a noticeable increase in catalytic converter thefts across the community in recent weeks.
