Remains of New Hazelton missing woman found

Calgary police are investigating two separate discoveries of human remains in the past week. Unidentified human remains were discovered last Thursday by a pedestrian walking on a path in southwest Calgary. Police were also called on Monday night after a pedestrian found potential remains on the side of the Bow River in the city's northwest. Conservation officers in British Columbia say they killed a black bear after it attacked a woman walking her dog in Whistler. A statement posted online by the Conservation Officer Service says the woman was walking her leashed dog in the Kadenwood neighbourhood around 8:30 p.m. on Monday when she was knocked to the ground and bitten by the bear.
