Public’s help sought in identifying sexual assault suspect: Metro Vancouver Transit Police
Metro Vancouver Transit Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who allegedly attacked and sexually assaulted a woman inside a SkyTrain station. Early Saturday morning on November 27th, 2021, shortly after 12:00 a.m., a woman was walking down the stairs to the platform of 29th Ave SkyTrain Station when she was approached by an individual who asked for the time. As the suspect approached the woman, they allegedly blocked her path multiple times and tried to engage in conversation. They eventually wrapped their arms around her, groped her and forced her to the ground.

B.C. reports 375 new COVID-19 cases and 7 deaths
B.C. is reporting 375 new cases of COVID-19, including no epi-linked cases, for a total of 218,801 cases in the province.There are 2,936 active cases of COVID-19 in the province, and 213,394 people who tested positive have recovered. Of the active cases, 301 individuals are in hospital and 98 are in intensive care. IHIT deployed in Surrey after 45 year old shooting victim died in hospital
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called in after a 45 year old man died in hospital following a shooting in Surrey. RCMP say the man was taken to hospital early Monday morning and died of his injuries yesterday. The Mounties says the incident appears to be a targeted act, but no further information is being provided. Shots fired at home in Delta, no one injured
Delta Police responded to a call regarding shots fired at a home in the 7400 block of 116A St. in North Delta around 3:45 am December 1."Officers were dispatched immediately to the area and fortunately determined that no one had been injured in the home," says Cris Leykauf, spokesperson for Delta Police. American man arrested and held for luring Surrey child
A 35 year old Oregon man accused of luring a child from Surrey, BC, has been arrested in California. RCMP allege the man used an alias to connect with a 14 year old on social media and allegedly groomed the victim to create and distribute sexual content. Police say they worked with the family to gather evidence, determined the suspect was American and contacted the US Department of Homeland Security, which identified additional victims and made the arrest. Bill to ban conversion therapy clears House of Commons
A government bill seeking to ban conversion therapy has cleared the House of Commons and is on its way to the Senate. Bill C-4 was fast-tracked through the legislative stages in the House of Commons with the unanimous consent of all MPs after Conservative Rob Moore introduced a motion to do so. Erin O'Toole had been set to once again allow his caucus to have a free vote on the bill, but also pledged that his MPs would work to get it passed quickly. Fourth student dies from Michigan high school shooting
Authorities say a 17 year old boy has become the fourth student to die from a school shooting in Michigan.
The Oakland County sheriff's office identified the teen Wednesday as Justin Shilling.
The shooting occurred Tuesday at Oxford High School in Oakland County.
The suspect remains in custody.
Seven other people were wounded, some critically, including a 14 year old girl who was placed on a ventilator after surgery.
Oakland County Undersheriff Mike McCabe said three students who were killed as a 16 year old boy and two girls, ages 14 and 17.

Flood warnings issued for several B.C. rivers, dozens of weather warnings in effect
A landslide closed traffic today on the same highway near Agassiz, B.C., where motorists were trapped between slides caused by major rainstorms last month. Dozens of Oregon workers fired for not getting COVID shot
Officials in Oregon say at least 99 state workers have been fired for failing to get vaccinated against COVID-19. KOIN reports the figures from the Department of Administrative Services show that out of more than 40,000 state workers, 84.7% received the vaccine and 12.2% were exempt on religious or medical grounds. The rest are either on long term leave like parental leave or waiting to get their vaccination status verified.
