37.80% voter turnout recorded in Punjab till 1 pm, Bathinda leading
As polling for the seventh and last phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 is underway, voter turnout recorded in Punjab 37.80% till 1 pm.Bathinda is leading with 41.17% and 40.14 voter turnout recorded till 1 pm in Chandigarh. 37.95 in Jalandhar, 37.07 in Hoshiarpur, 39.05 in Gurdaspur, 32.18 in Amritsar, 35.16% in Ludhiana PC,39.11% in Patiala, 37.43 in Sri Anandpur Sahib, 36.82 in Faridkot, 39.74 percent in Ferozepur, 37.43 percent in Fatehgarh Sahib, 37.76 percent in Khadur Sahib and 39.85 percent in Sangrur.

FIR registered against BSP candidate Surendra Kamboj for recording video
As polling for the seventh and last phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 is underway, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Ferozepur Lok Sabha candidate Surinder Kamboj was filmed by an unidentified person using the electronic voting machine (EVM).
He is from parliamentary constituency 10 Ferozepur and was casting vote on polling station 97, village Jiva Rai, PS Guruharshai.
An FIR at police station Guru Har Sahai was registered against candidate Surendra Kamboj and one unknown person under section 171F of IPC, 126 and 132 of Representation of People's Act 1951.

Lok Sabha elections in 7 states and one UT, 26 % voter turnout till 11 am

Big incident in Amritsar, 'AAP' worker shot dead
A day before the elections, a major incident has taken place in Amritsar. An AAP worker was shot dead here. According to information, youths riding on 2 bikes fired at an Aam Aadmi Party worker and his colleagues last night. One died while 4 were injured in this incident. Lok Sabha Elections 2024: 23.91% voting in 13 constituencies of Punjab till 11 am
In the seventh phase of Lok Sabha elections, voting is going on in 13 Lok Sabha seats of Punjab from 7 am. Voting will be held till 6 pm. 9.64% voting took place in the first 2 hours in 13 constituencies of Punjab. 23.91% voting has been done till 11 am.
Ferozepur has the highest 25.73% voting. There, the lowest voter turnout has been recorded in Fatehgarh Sahib at 22.96%.
Due to strong wind in Faridkot, the shed of the polling booth was blown away. Due to which the employees working there were spared. Voting was delayed in Ludhiana, Gurdaspur and Bathinda due to faulty EVM machines.

West Bengal : Mob loots EVM, throws VVPAT machine in pond
Amid the seventh and the last phase of the Lok Sabha election Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) were looted by local mob and two VVPAT machines have been thrown inside a pond in South 24 Parganas's Kultali, West Bengal. According to the Chief Electoral Office, West Bengal, an FIR has been lodged by the Sector Officer.
