Delhi Schools up to 5th Standard Closed, Online Classes to Be Held: Atishi
In response to the escalating pollution levels in Delhi NCR, the government has issued orders for online classes for students up to class V until further notice.

Giani Harpreet Singh's Z-security withdrawn
The union government has withdrawn the Z-category security provided to Giani Harpreet Singh. He, however, would continue to have the security cover provided to him by the Punjab police and the SGPC.

Punjab byelections 2024: Change in date for bypolls in 4 constituencies
The date for the bypoll in four Assembly seats in Punjab has been rescheduled. On Monday, the Election Commission announced changes to the earlier scheduled byelections for 15 Assembly seats across Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Kerala. The polls, which were originally set for November 13, will now be conducted on November 20, while the results will be declared on November 23, as initially planned.

15 dead after a passenger bus skids into a deep gorge in northern India
A passenger bus veered off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in northernIndiaon Monday, killing at least 15 people and injuring over 25 others, officials said.
The accident occurred in Almora district in the mountainous state of Uttarakhand. The bus was carrying over 40 people, and so far 15 bodies have been recovered, said Vineet Pal, a state government official.
