Government invites bids to sell 100 pc stake in Air India
The government on Monday invited preliminary bids to divest its entire stake in Air India, and the airline's subsidiary Air India Express along with its joint venture Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited. As per a preliminary information memorandum (PIM) issued by the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management, the last date for submission of expression of interest is March 17 and qualified bidders will be notified March 31. Delhi : Acting on EC's request, Twitter removes Kapil Mishra's tweet
Twitter on Friday took down a controversial post of BJP leader Kapil Mishra on the request of the Election Commission. The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Delhi had written to the apex poll body to initiate the process of takind down the said tweet. The CEO, Delhi also directed the police to file an FIR against Mishra for his tweet where he termed the ensuing Assembly elections in the national capital as a contest between 'India and Pakistan.' Mishra on January 23 had tweeted " - On 8th February there will be a contest between India and Pakistan on the streets of Delhi."

Punjab: All-party meet convened by Amarinder Singh passes resolution on Punjab's water crisis

Addressing a public rally in support of Citizenship (Amendment) Act in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that anyone who is raising slogans of 'Azadi' will be charged with sedition. Punjab: HC stays CAT order quashing Punjab DGP's appointment
The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday stayed a Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) order quashing the appointment of Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Dinkar Gupta.
With this development, Gupta will now continue as Punjab DGP.

Woman succumbs to injuries in Kanpur after being beaten up; 4 arrested
A woman witness in a case of molestation succumbed to her injuries at a hospital here on Friday after she along with another witness was brutally beaten up.
