Scores of dead bodies found floating in India's Ganges River
Scores of dead bodies have been found floating down the Ganges River in eastern India as the country battles a ferocious surge in coronavirus infections.
Authorities say they haven't yet determined the cause of death.
Health officials working through the night Monday in Bihar state retrieved 71 bodies.
Images on social media of the bodies in the river prompted outrage and speculation that they died from COVID-19.
Authorities performed post mortems on Tuesday but said they could not confirm the cause of death due to decomposition of the bodies.

India registers over 3.66 lakh new COVID-19 cases, 3,754 deaths
India registered 3,66,161 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, said the union health ministry on Monday morning. Thailand flight carrying medical supplies arrives in Delhi
Amid second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, a special flight carrying medical supplies from Thailand arrived at the Delhi airport on May 08.
200 oxygen cylinders and 10 oxygen concentrators have been sent by Thailand government.
While 100 oxygen cylinders and 60 oxygen concentrators have been donated by Indian community in Thailand.
Several countries including US, Germany, Begium, Dubai have extended their support to India as country is battling with the severe second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.

'Who is safe in Bengal': Javadekar after attack on Union Minister Muraleedharan's convoy
Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar questioned the safety of common people in West Bengal after the attack on the convoy of Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs V Muraleedharan who was visiting Paschim Medinipur after post-poll violence was reported in several parts of the state. 4 arrested in black marketing of oxygen concentrators in Delhi
Four people from a restaurant-cum-bar in Delhi's Lodhi Colony have been arrested in connection with black marketing of oxygen concentrators. Police recovered 419 oxygen concentrators, which were sold for over Rs 70,000. A case has been registered in the matter.
