Elections to 57 Rajya Sabha seats on June 10
The Election Commission of India on Thursday announced that polls for 57 Rajya Sabha seats spread across 15 states will take place on June 10. There are 2 seats are going to vaccant in punjab. Gen Naravane pays obeisance at Golden Temple
Former Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane, who has spent the majority of his more than 42 years of service with the Sikh troops of his battalion, on Wednesday paid obeisance to the Guru Granth Sahib at the Golden Temple in his first visit post-retirement visit.
Gen Naravane retired on April 30 and has shifted to his newly-allotted accommodation in Delhi Cantonment since that day.

PNB share price tumbles 13.6 per cent on disappointing Q4 numbers
Share price of state-run lender Punjab National Bank (PNB) slumped 13.6 per cent on Thursday after the company reported 66 per cent drop in its fourth-quarter profit.
Trading in PNB shares started sharply lower at Rs 31.70 against its previous day's close at Rs 33.10 at the BSE.
PNB share was trading 13.44 per cent down at Rs 28.65 at 3.19 pm. Earlier, the scrip tumbled to a low of Rs 28.50 in the intra-day.
The bank's share slumped after it announced disappointing financial numbers for the fourth quarter of 2021-22.

Punjab CM seeks report from DGP, intelligence officers over Mohali blast
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday sought a report from the Director-General of Police (DGP) and intelligence officers over the last night's explosion in Mohali, stating that strict punishment will be given to the culprits.

Rupee hits record low; closes 60 paise down at 77.50 against US dollar
The Indian rupee hit a record low of 77.58 against the US dollar on Monday amid unabated outflow of foreign funds after the Federal Reserve hiked policy interest rates last week.
At the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee settled at 77.50 against the US dollar, down 60 paise from its previous close of 76.90 hit on Friday.
Earlier, the rupee opened sharply lower at 77.17 against the dollar and hit a record low of 77.58 in the intra-day.

Tajinder Bagga's arrest 'as per procedure', says Mohali DSP
Amid the sloganeering outside Delhi's Janakpuri Police Station condemning BJP leader Tajinder Bagga's arrest by the Punjab Police, Mohali DSP KS Sandhu clarified that the BJP leader was apprehended 'as per the procedure'.
