Punjab and Haryana High Court gave relief to singer Daler Mehndi and granted him bail on Thursday in a 2003 human trafficking case. Singer Daler's lawyer Sumanjit Kaur confirmed Mehndi's bail. Earlier in July, the Patiala district court sentenced Singer Daler Mehndi to two years of imprisonment in a 2003 human trafficking case. SC asks Punjab, Haryana to discuss Sutlej-Yamuna link canal issue

The Supreme Court on Tuesday asked the Union Jal Shakti Ministry to call a meeting between the governments of Punjab and Haryana to resolve the Sutlej Yamuna Link (SYL) Canal dispute.
