BC: Oscar Arfmann sentenced to life in prison without chance of parole for 25 years
Oscar Arfmann has been sentenced to life in prison without eligibility for parole for 25 years for ambushing and shooting a police officer in Abbotsford in November 2017. Arfmann was convicted of first-degree murder for the death of Constable John Davidson. Arfmann's lawyer, Martin Peters, says his client has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and has very little understanding of what happened in court today. 14-year-old snowboarder found safe and sound at B.C.'s Sun Peaks ski resort
The RCMP say a 14-year-old snowboarder who was missing near Kamloops, B.C., has been found ``safe and sound.'' The Mounties say the boy took a shuttle to the Sun Peaks Resort on Sunday morning but failed to catch the return shuttle to Kamloops in the afternoon. It was confirmed that the teen used the chairlift up the mountain and his parents called police Sunday evening, when a search began.

Canadian evacuees from Wuhan to be quarantined for two weeks at Trenton

Evacuations, road closures and plenty of cleanup after B.C. flooding, landslides
Several British Columbia communities are cleaning up and digging out after a storm swept over the southern part of the province on Friday, prompting flooding and landslides.
Local states of emergency were declared in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island and the District of Kent in the Fraser Valley.
Both areas were overwhelmed with up to 140 millimetres of rain Friday that washed out or flooded major roads and forced the evacuation of dozens of people.
Kent Mayor Sylvia Pranger says about 40 homes were evacuated north of Harrison Hot Springs when Rockwell Drive washed away.

Two men found dead, third still missing in B.C. search that involved hundreds
There's been a tragic end to a weekend search for three young men on southern Vancouver Island.RCMP Staff Sgt. Janelle Shoihet says the vehicle the three men were in was located near Sooke River Road on Sunday and the bodies of two of the men have been recovered.She says the search for the third man continues with the help of Juan de Fuca Search and Rescue.Police said in an earlier news release that Cory Mills, Eric Blackmore and AJ Jensen, all 20 years old, were last seen at a home in Sooke, B.C., late Friday night.The men were in a 2004 blue Dodge Dakota and it was unclear where they going.
