Surrey Mayor Doug McCallum issued a statement last night confirming he had what he describes as a ``health concern'' that required medical attention over the weekend. McCallum says the issue has been addressed but, on his doctor's advice, he's taking some time to recuperate. A hospital in Edmonton is no longer admitting patients due to a full outbreak of COVID-19. An outbreak at the Misericordia Community Hospital was first declared by Alberta's chief medical health officer two weeks ago, and restrictions were tightened as case numbers increased. A motorcyclist from Whitehorse and a Manitoba woman travelling in Yukon have died in a multi-vehicle crash just south of Whitehorse. RCMP and the coroner say an eastbound vehicle tried to pass another but clipped it and veered into the path of the oncoming motorcyclist. 43 year old Travis Adams died at the scene along with 47 year old Nicole Sanderson of Winnipeg, who was a passenger in the vehicle. Police say the driver of the car carrying Sanderson and a passenger in the vehicle were seriously hurt but are expected to recover.
