The budget session of the Vidhan Sabha will start from March 1
Amid the farmers' movement in Punjab, the budget session of the state's legislative assembly is starting from March 1, which will continue till March 14.
This decision was taken in the Cabinet meeting held in Chandigarh on Thursday. The Governor will address the Legislative Assembly on March 1.
On March 4, there will be a debate on his address and on March 5, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema will present the budget for the state. In view of the Lok Sabha elections, the budget is expected to be popular.

Quebec to table budget on March 12 amid warnings of larger deficit
