With consent of the families, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is identifying the victims who died in the shooting on July 25.Background: In the early morning hours of July 25, 2022, a total of four people where shot in multiple shootings occurring in the Township of Langley and City of Langley. Two victims died at scene. One woman remains in critical condition and the other man has non-life threatening injuries. 2 men charged in killing of Ripudaman Singh Malik
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has obtained charges of first degree murder in Ripudaman Singh Malik's killing in Surrey. Charges have been laid against 21-year-old Tanner Fox and 23-year-old Jose Lopez for the murder of Ripudaman Singh Malik. IHIT is going to do a press conference at 3pm on Wednesday. Sgt. David Lee provided the details about the charges in an email and said more information would be provided in the press conference. Ripudaman Singh Malik was killed in broad daylight on July 14th at a plaza near 82nd Ave. and 128th street.

The family of one of two women killed in Chilliwack, B.C., last week says they'll never allow a murderer to put out her bright light or destroy the lives of her little boys. Police say 43-year-old Amber Culley and 49-year-old Mimi Cates were gunned down last Thursday and a man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Former Vancouver Canucks forward Jake Virtanen wept openly as he was found not guilty of sexual assault. A BC Supreme Court jury in Vancouver announced its decision after several hours of deliberations that began yesterday and continued this morning. Virtanen was charged in January with sexual assault after a now-23-year-old woman alleged she was assaulted in his hotel room in 2017. Virtanen was placed on leave after the allegations surfaced last year and the Canucks then bought out his contract.

Salvage work begins to remove barge stuck for months on Vancouver beach
Work is finally underway in Vancouver's English Bay to remove a huge barge that has been washed up on the beach for eight months. A company has begun drilling piles into the shoreline to anchor the barge while it is cut apart and removed.The city of Vancouver has said placement of the pilings is the first step in the removal process estimated to take three to four months to complete.The barge broke free of its moorings during a fierce storm and extremely high tide last November.It washed up high on the sand and rocks near Sunset Beach, defeating all efforts to drag it free earlier this year.Va
