One man found with injuries in Cloverdale: Surrey RCMP
Surrey RCMP is investigating after a man was located with injuries outside a residence in the Cloverdale area. On September 15, 2022 at approximately 5:30 am police received a 911 call indicating a man was injured in the 5800 block of Angus Place. Upon attendance a 35-year-old male was located suffering from injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. The victim was provided life saving measures, and was transported to hospital with serious injuries, not considered to be life-threatening. Sharp-eyed store employees’ call to police results in return of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise in Richmond
On August 31, 2022, Richmond RCMP responded to the 7800 block of Templeton Station Rd for an alleged theft-in-progress at a store within a mall. The complainant, an employee from the store, advised employees were, from a safe distance, following a woman who had allegedly stolen multiple items. Parks Canada is welcoming visitors back to Jasper National Park
Parks Canada is welcoming visitors back to Jasper National Park after power was restored to the townsite that was knocked out by a wildfire north of the community earlier this month.
The agency says it has been a difficult period for many and it appreciates the adaptability and flexibility of community residents, visitors to Jasper and the tourism industry.
ATCO Electricity says it worked relentlessly to restore power to the area as quickly as possible.

Punjab and Haryana HC grants relief to singer Daler Mehndi in 2003 human trafficking
Punjab and Haryana High Court gave relief to singer Daler Mehndi and granted him bail on Thursday in a 2003 human trafficking case.
Singer Daler's lawyer Sumanjit Kaur confirmed Mehndi's bail.
Earlier in July, the Patiala district court sentenced Singer Daler Mehndi to two years of imprisonment in a 2003 human trafficking case.
Following the court's order, the singer was taken into custody by Punjab Police. Bakshish Singh, the complainant alleged that Mehndi and his bother took Rs 13 lakh from him on the pretext of sending him to Canada.

New bivalent COVID-19 vaccine will be available in Alberta next week
The new bivalent COVID-19 vaccine will be available in Alberta next week.
The province says adult Albertans can make appointments for the Moderna Spikevax booster starting on Wednesday.
The bivalent vaccine protects against the Omicron B-A-1 variant and the original COVID-19 strain.
People who received a series of shots and are at least five months from their last dose, booster, or most recent infection are eligible.
The new vaccine is expected to be available for Albertans aged 12 to 17 later this month or in early October

Edmonton police officer injured in motorcycle hit-and-run
Edmonton police say an officer was injured in a hit-and-run after trying to pull over a motorcyclist.
Police say an officer was conducting traffic enforcement at a construction zone around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday when he tried to direct a red Honda motorcycle to pull over.
Police allege the bike hit the officer and then fled northbound from the scene at Terwillegar Drive and 37 Avenue.
Police say the officer was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Major Collision Investigations Section is probing the incident and is asking for any witnesses to come forward.

Fatal shooting in Burnaby
A man has been killed in a deadly shooting on a usually busy Burnaby street. RCMP say it happened last night at around 11 p.m. and the unnamed victim died at the scene. Just a few minutes later officers were called to a burning vehicle on a quiet Burnaby street about seven kilometres from the homicide. The shooting and vehicle arson carry the hallmarks of previous targeted hits but police have not said if last night's attack might have been planned, and they are asking witnesses or drivers with dashcam video to contact them.

RCMP update probe of vandalism against B.C. gondola
RCMP have released more details about a suspect linked to the deliberate cutting of the huge cable supporting the Sea-to-Sky gondola in Squamish. The attacks, in 2019 and 2020, sent all the cars on the nearly five-kilometre long cable crashing to the ground. Richmond RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man allegedly involved in an attempted robbery. At approximately 2:27 pm on June 1, 2022 Richmond RCMP responded to a business in the 5900 block of No 3 Rd for an attempted robbery.The victim advised she was seated inside of the business when an unknown man allegedly attempted to pull the woman’s purse off her arm.
