Surrey RCMP is informing the public of an investigation into the death of a five-year-old child and an aggravated assault on a 42-year old woman in Guildford. On July 5, 2021, at approximately 9:15 pm, Surrey RCMP frontline officers responded to a report of a woman stabbed at a residence in the 15400-block of 94 Avenue. The seriously injured woman was able to flee the residence and call police; however, a 5-year-old child remained inside the home. Vancouver Police have seized more than $4 million worth of drugs and $320,000 in cash in an investigation targeting gang activity in Metro Vancouver.
