FIR registered against Ravneet Singh Bittu over ‘terrorist’ remark against Rahul Gandhi
Ravneet Singh Bittu, Union Minister of BJP from Punjab has once again attacked Rahul Gandhi, he said that he has no regret for calling Rahul Gandhi a terrorist and neither will he apologise.
Bittu said that the Gandhi family destroyed Punjab as a result of which the state lost several generations. Ravneet Bittu said that I express my pain as a Sikh, I am a minister later. He said that Rahul Gandhi's statements are creating communal division in the country.
On the other hand, calling Rahul Gandhi a terrorist FIR has been registered against Bittu in Karnataka.

Approval of 'One Nation One Election', resolution passed in the Modi Cabinet
The Narendra Modi government of India has given the green signal to the proposal to hold the assembly elections along with the Lok Sabha elections in the country as 'One Nation One Election'. This bill will be presented in the Parliament in the winter session November-December.
It is to be noted that the committee headed by former President Ram Nath Kovind, formed to consider 'One Nation One Election' submitted its report to President Draupadi Murmu on March 14. In the report, it has been recommended to extend the tenure of all the Vidhan Sabhas till the next Lok Sabha elections 2029.

Ottawa announces it's further reducing the number of international student permits
The Liberal government will slash the number of international student visas it issues by another 10 per cent.
The government says the new target for 2025 and 2026 will be 437,000 permits.
In 2024 the target was 485,000 permits.
It is also putting new limits on work permits for spouses of both foreign workers and students in master's degree programs.
Earlier this year, the Liberal government announced a temporary cap to reduce the number of new student visas by more than a third this year.

Federal Transport Minister Pablo Rodriguez to seek Quebec Liberal leadership
Federal Transport Minister Pablo Rodriguez is expected to resign from cabinet to seek the leadership of the Quebec Liberal Party.
A federal Liberal source, who was not authorized to speak publicly, confirmed the news to The Canadian Press.
It was first reported by La Presse.
Rodriguez, who is also Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's Quebec lieutenant, is expected to formally announce his decision Thursday in Gatineau.
The Quebec Liberals have been without a leader since Dominique Anglade resigned following her defeat in the 2022 provincial election.

The Punjab-Haryana High Court has ordered the Punjab government to produce all the records related to the extension of NSA on Amritpal Singh and his accomplice Daljit Kalsi and has also asked the Center on what basis the NSA was extended.
Now the Punjab and Central Government will have to give the information related to this in the High Court by October 3.
