Carney says, removing Chinese tariffs on Canadian agriculture products a priority
Canada is reaching out to China amid the trade war with the United States. Prime Minister Mark Carney says his government is in ministerial talks with Chinese officials to remove Chinese tariffs on Canadian agricultural and seafood products, and that the issue is a top priority for the federal government.
PM Carney made the comments after a meeting with the premier in Saskatoon yesterday. A statement issued after the meeting said the premier wants Canada to improve its trade relations with China.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru team win IPL title
Royal Challengers Bengaluru team is the new IPL champion. In the final match played today, RCB defeated Punjab Kings .Batting first, RCB scored 190 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs.
Virat Kohli was the highest scorer for RCB with a knock of 43 runs. Arshdeep Singh and Jamieson picked 3 wickets each for Punjab. Chasing 191 to win, Punjab lost the game by 6 wickets. The final score for the Punjab team was 184 for the loss of 7 wickets.
Shashank Singh played a knock of 61 runs off 30 balls, but the innings was not enough to take Punjab to the title win.

Two men arrested in B.C., charged with murder in Mississauga, Ont. shooting: police
Peel Region police say two men were arrested in British Columbia and charged with murder in the shooting death of a man in Mississauga, Ont., last month.
Police say 51-year-old Harjeet Dhadda of Brampton, Ont., was allegedly approached by a suspect and shot multiple times in a Mississauga parking lot the morning of May 14, and he later died in hospital.
They allege the suspects fled in a stolen vehicle, which was found shortly after the shooting.

213 prisoners escape from Malir Jail in Karachi, Pakistan
At least 213 prisoners escaped from Malir Jail in Karachi, Pakistan on Monday night. According to the jail administration, the prisoners were evacuated from the barracks as a precaution after the earthquake tremors in Karachi.
According to the report, about 80 of them have been recaptured, while 135 prisoners are still on the run. Jail Superintendent Arshad Shah confirmed this on Tuesday morning. He said that more than 600 prisoners were outside their barracks at that time and 213 prisoners managed to escape amidst the chaos.
