In Mehar, Raj Kundra Kundra takes on the role of Karamjeet Singh, a Sikh man whose story unfolds against a rich cultural backdrop. But beyond the role, the experience of portraying a Sikh deeply impacted Raj on a personal level. In a moving Instagram post, he shared how wearing the turban for the film became a profound experience—one that extended beyond performance and into personal transformation.

“Wearing a turban for the first time in my debut film Mehar was not just a part of my role—it was a moment that touched my soul,” Raj wrote. “The weight of that dastaar came with a deep sense of responsibility and pride. Since that day, I’ve made a conscious choice to always keep my hair covered and embrace the beautiful principles of Sikhi—not just in appearance, but as a way of life.”

Raj added that the experience grounded him and connected him deeply to the community he now feels a part of, expressing his respect and love for Punjab and its people.

Mehar also stars Geeta Basra in a lead role, alongside a talented ensemble cast including Baninder Bunny, Savita Bhatti, Rupinder Rupi, Deep Mandeep, Ashish Duggal, Hobby Dhaliwal, Tarsem Paul, and Kulvir Sony.
