Case filed against Mankirt Aulakh for 'defaming' legal profession
Advocate Sunil Kumar Mallan has filed a civil suit against Punjabi singer Mankirt Aulakh for allegedly using derogatory content against the legal fraternity.While seeking damages, Mallan prayed for issuance of interim directions to the respondents for deleting the song and its lyrics from all media platforms, till the pendency of the case . Sidhu Moosewala’s song ‘295’ roars at closing ceremony of Commonwealth Games in Birmingham

Upasana Singh sues Harnaaz Sandhu for ‘breach of contract’
Actor Upasana Singh, “Bua” of Kapil Sharma’s comedy show, has filed a civil suit against Miss Universe Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu for alleged breach of contract.
The suit has been filed in a local court through advocates Karan Sachdeva and Irvan Neet Kaur, claiming Rs 1 crore in damages from the defendant for non-performance of her obligations in terms of agreement between them. SGPC ex-chief Bibi Jagir Kaur watches Aamir Khan’s film, finds nothing objectionable
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and the crew of comedy film 'Laal Singh Chaddha' attended the screening of the film for SGPC members at the multiplex of Curo Mall here on Wednesday afternoon.SGPC former president Jagir Kaur and experts from Sikh Missionary College and the religious body were in a attendance at the screening of the film. Jagir Kaur said: “We did not find anything objectionable in the film. Three Punjabi films to have Australian premiere at IFFM 2022
Punjabi films are celebrated for their wholesome entertainment and music.
Recently, a few Punjabi films, which are high on content, have been selected for a special screening at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2022. The list includes Jaggi, Adh Chanani Raat and Raavi.
Jaggi, directed by Anmol Sidhu and starring Ramnish Chaudhary, Harmandeep Singh, Gaurav Jasuja, Aks Mehraj and Harmeet Jassi.
Adh Chanani Raat (Crescent Night) is directed by Gurvinder Singh.
The cast includes SS Dhiman, Veera Gill, Samuel John, Dharminder Kaur and Jatinder Mauhar.
Raavi is a short film directed by Jasmi
