Sidhu Moosewala’s song ‘295’ roars at closing ceremony of Commonwealth Games in Birmingham
It was not just a power-packed musical evening with bhangra performance from ‘Apache Indian', Punjab singer Sidhu Moosewala’s song ‘295’ was also included in the closing ceremony of Commonwealth Games at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.A video of the stadium with Moosewala’s song was posted by Birmingham MP Preet Kaur Gill on Twitter.The video was well received with many commenting, “Nice to see a tribute to sidhu moosewala”, “295 song ...good achievement of sidhu moosewala ...don't forget”More than 4,500 athletes competed from 72 countries over the past 11 days at the games.

Upasana Singh sues Harnaaz Sandhu for ‘breach of contract’
Actor Upasana Singh, “Bua” of Kapil Sharma’s comedy show, has filed a civil suit against Miss Universe Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu for alleged breach of contract.
The suit has been filed in a local court through advocates Karan Sachdeva and Irvan Neet Kaur, claiming Rs 1 crore in damages from the defendant for non-performance of her obligations in terms of agreement between them. Upasana said she had signed up Harnaaz as the lead artiste under her banner “Santosh Entertainment Studio LLP” in 2020 for Punjabi film “Bai Ji Kuttange.” In 2019, Harnaaz had won the title of Femina Miss India

SGPC ex-chief Bibi Jagir Kaur watches Aamir Khan’s film, finds nothing objectionable
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and the crew of comedy film 'Laal Singh Chaddha' attended the screening of the film for SGPC members at the multiplex of Curo Mall here on Wednesday afternoon.SGPC former president Jagir Kaur and experts from Sikh Missionary College and the religious body were in a attendance at the screening of the film. Jagir Kaur said: “We did not find anything objectionable in the film. There were a few minor issues, which our experts' panel will report to the film production team.” The film is set to release on August 11.
