Canada's Summer McIntosh has won her second consecutive gold medal in two days at the World Swimming Championships being played in Singapore. In the women's 200-meter individual medley event held on Monday, 18-year-old Summer McIntosh won the gold medal in this event with a timing of 2 minutes 6.69 seconds.
This event was a double success for Canada as Canada's Mary-Sophie Harvey won the bronze medal in this event. The silver medal in this event went to Alex Walsh of the United States.
On winning the event, Summer McIntosh said that she was not satisfied with her timing but was happy to win gold. Yesterday, Summer McIntosh won the gold medal in the women’s 400-meter freestyle event.
Meanwhile, two Canadian swimmers advanced to the finals after the women's 100-meter backstroke semifinals today. Canada's Kylie Masse and Taylor Ruck advanced to the finals in this event.
Canada has won a total of 4 medals in the championship so far, including two gold, one silver, and one bronze medal.
