Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived on Parliament Hill, where he was first greeted by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with leaders of the House and Senate, opposition party leaders and some other elected representatives.
After which Zelenskyy and Trudeau went into a closed room for a meeting.
It should be said that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is also going to address the Parliament of Canada.
This is Zelenskyy's first official visit to Canada since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022.
During this visit, his wife Olena Zelenska has also arrived in Ottawa.
During this visit, Trudeau and Zelenskyy will sign an agreement to strengthen economic relations between the two countries.
It is worth mentioning that Canada has provided financial assistance of 4.95 billion dollars and military assistance of 1.8 billion dollars to Ukraine.
The aid also includes weapons, ammunition, tanks and training of Ukrainian troops.
